Our First Robotics Work Day

Our team was went to a few workshops this year but this is our first FTC robotics year. Haley was absent that day that is why she is not in the picture.

We have finished our robot but all the kep nuts that hold the arm and claw together are not tight.

Mason and Zeke are our programmers they have started to work with MIT app inventor.

Haley is the lead on sketch up,Brody and Johnathan are our builders but are starting to learn sketch up with Haley teaching them.

Our team, the FLL team and,the programming class went to a data center in Kings Mountain.

They said it was a back-up to a back-up center.

They gave us a tour of the facility. We split up into groups and had us walk through the servers and other kinds of machines.

We went to a college and they gave us a class on megabyte and terabyte conversion.

They had a new room full of computers and TVs all programmed to run from the same monitor.

Our Second Robotics Work Day

Our second robotics day we went to the county office and started working with tinkercad.

We had a scavenger hunt along with a trying to find a way to move a ball without a scoop and 1 foot away.

We had a good time and Haley was speaker for us and got judged on it.

Third workday

Programers only

We went to Shelby Middle School and Only Mason and Zeke went for a half a day. Zeke and Mason worked with Gardner Webb students and wrote an autonomous program. It was over 30 blocks long, wrote in MIT App Inventor. We also worked on the robot a little.

We went to the county office for the last time this year to compete with all the other teams in the county. We worked on scratch and with a small computer chip programer that works with computer programs to transfer the working ability to real world objects and circits.

We won two awards (HAAAAAAAAAA)
